Light Machine ice ax by Grivel mainly designed for technical mountaineering and ice climbing. Supplied with 4.2mm thick MIX blade suitable for hooking on both ice and rock.
The Slider offers good hand support and better grip. The lower part of the ice ax penetrates the snow when the ice ax is used as an ice ax-pole. The elastic strap with carabiner makes it impossible to lose the ice ax. The handle is made of chromed steel. The ice ax as a whole reaches a length of 50 cm.
The Light Machine stands out for its versatility, because we can use it perfectly as an ice ax-pole in glacier areas, ascents, cross-country skiing ... at the same time that they are functional in more technical terrain (corridors, waterfalls, technical ascents ... .).
